Underground Church Service
Sunday, November 14, 2010 is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. We are holding an Underground Church Service at our church to remember and pray for our bothers and sisters around the world that are persecuted for their faith in Jesus. Right now there are people being imprisoned, beaten or even killed because they will not deny Jesus’ name. It is hard for us here in cozy America to understand. I wanted to use just a few hours to give the children and our congregation a little taste of the hardship that many Christians face when they go to church in these restrictive countries. So on midnight at Saturday, November 13th we will hold an underground church service. Complete with passwords, flashlights and coded Bible verses. That Sunday we will be showing The Voice of the Martyr children’s movie and talking about the persecuted church. The Underground Church service message, which may seem fun to the children who are up past their bed times, will hopefully stick into their little hearts.
